I create intricate, textured paintings that harmonize vibrant bursts of color with serene, subdued areas, offering the viewer moments  of both excitement and calm. Each piece begins as a blank slate-a pristine white gessoed board- and evolves into a rich tapestry of emotion and texture through an intuitive, layered process. My work is a reflection of a colorful emotional journey, where every stroke and layer tells a story. Using oil paint, soft beeswax, and pigment, I build my compositions layer by layer. I sweep, drag, veil, expose, and abrade the surface, allowing each stratum to emerge organically. This process invites viewers to contemplate the evolution of the work, revealing the passage of time and history-echoes of the way we experience life itself.  Each layer embodies an introspective exploration of emotional states or natural settings, capturing fleeting moments and enduring impressions.

The themes that inspire me are deeply rooted in the layer of the human spirit and the natural world-experiences and memories; ripples in water; lithified rocks; ancient, weathered walls.  These elements find their way into my paintings as textural abstractions that celebrate complexity and beauty.  Through my work, I aim to evoke an appreciation for humanity and the wondrous world we inhabit.

Every brushstroke is intentional. Every layer is imbued with meaning. My hope is to create art that fosters love, curiosity, and admiration for the intricate interplay  between nature and human experience -a testament to the richness of life.
